VNP Statement on Passage of Anti-Voter Senate Bill 303

LANSING, Mich. – The following statement can be attributed to Nancy Wang, executive director of Voters Not Politicians, on House passage of anti-voter Senate Bill 303:

The legislature today pushed through SB 303 which would roll back the voting rights Michigan voters overwhelmingly approved in 2018. We are heartened that our pro-voter governor is expected to stand up against this dangerous bill and prevent it from becoming law in the near future. But the GOP has made clear that they have a plan to go around normal democratic processes – and the voters – using the petition that is being circulated as we speak. Voters Not Politicians is exposing the truth, and we urge voters to stand up for their constitutional right to vote by declining to sign this toxic petition.
