The Voters Not Politicians Education Fund is excited to start October with two impactful projects to educate voters across Michigan and encourage them to participate in the 2022 Midterm General Election on Tuesday, November 8th. My City Votes 2022 and the MichiganDropBox.com Outreach Campaign will focus on bringing the best and most relevant voter education materials and resources directly to voters in historically underserved communities across Michigan.
My City Votes 2022 – The Voters Ed Fund has deployed a robust, multi-tactic voter education drive in historically underserved communities. In Mid-September, the My City Votes 2022 project was launched across six municipalities: Flint, Pontiac, Inkster, River Rouge, Melvindale, and Ecorse. Our goal is to educate more than 100,000 voters across these communities. Last month, Voters Ed Fund encouraged over 20,000 new voters to apply for their absentee ballots ahead of the November 8th General Election. Now with only 34 days till the election, we’re focused on helping to educate voters, talk to them about how to make a plan to vote, and making sure they have the resources they need to cast their ballots.
MichigandDropBox.com Outreach Campaign – With over 1,200 confirmed, secure absentee ballot drop boxes available to voters in the state, MichiganDropBox.com is helping voters locate the most convenient drop box location in their community. As of October 3rd, nearly 1.4 million voters have requested an absentee ballot for this November’s general election. The Voters Ed Fund spent 120 volunteer and staff hours calling local clerks to confirm each drop box location, hours, and accessibility, and we’re excited to launch an aggressive campaign that will reach over 200,000 voters to encourage them to return their absentee ballot to a secure drop box in their city.

What about the one judge contest on the ballot? They are so important. I see no recos on judges. Is that too divisive? Sounds most important in the day of an ultra-conservative US Supreme Court majority.
