The tremendous work of thousands of volunteers across the state of Michigan and across the political spectrum is showcased in Slay the Dragon, a documentary that highlights the underdog, nonpartisan campaign to establish an Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission in Michigan.
We’re proud to have the work of our volunteers featured alongside other citizen-led groups that are working to make sure that voters can choose their politicians – not the other way around. Now, we’re doing everything in our power to encourage voters to participate in the new fair, impartial, and transparent redistricting process.

The fight isn’t over. Voters Not Politicians is battling meritless lawsuits brought by special interests that benefited from rigging our elections for years. While we wait for the court to resolve these lawsuits, Voters Not Politicians is working to encourage as many voters as possible to apply to serve on Michigan’s Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission and to participate in the public mapping process.
