“The federal Constitution does not require that the Michigan Republican Party and their preferred politicians and special interests control redistricting. An overwhelming majority of Michigan voters passed a fair, impartial, and transparent redistricting process so that voters choose their politicians – not the other way around. We look forward to putting these meritless lawsuits behind us and focusing on public education and outreach to maximize voter participation in the new redistricting process.”
