Melinda joined the Voters Not Politicians staff as the Communications Manager in April 2022.

Melinda earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago and worked for several Detroit nonprofits before joining Voters Not Politicians. In her free time, Melinda live-tweets public meetings from her city government to keep her community informed. She also enjoys writing and performing poetry, volunteering with her church, and visiting her favorite cultural institutions: science centers, libraries, and zoos!
