The commission continued drawing State Senate district maps during its second mapping session on Thursday, September 9th. Led by Commissioner Juanita Curry, they finished mapping parts of Downriver to include Ecorse, River Rouge, and the Southwest parts of Detroit leading to Highland Park and Hamtramck. The following district, drawn by Commissioner Anthony Eid, was composed of parts of Oakland County including Orchard Lake, West Bloomfield, Bloomfield, and Bloomfield Hills, Sylvan Lake, Keego Harbor, Royal Oak, and Berkley.
