I, {{YourFirstName}} {{YourLastName}}, live at {{YourAddress}} in the City of Kalamazoo and am petitioning the City of Kalamazoo Board of Commissioners to support a resolution to add 22 open-service office hours beyond Proposal 18-3 requirements. Additional clerk office hours beyond normal business hours will help to increase the accessibility of our City Clerk’s office in the final weeks leading up to the election. I would also like to show my support for a satellite clerk office to be opened on the campus of Western Michigan University to better serve student voters living on campus.

Proposal 3, passed by a margin of 2-to-1 in November of 2018 and reduced the barriers for voting in the State of Michigan. Our city commission should strongly consider a resolution to further expand voting services during the weeks leading up to the election to better serve voters in our community.

Thank you for your consideration,
